Austrian Freeski Open 2012 celebrates 10 years of slopestyle frenzy!

Happy birthday, Austrian Freeski Open: from March 07 to 11, 2012, the major freeski slopestyle event at Kitzsteinhorn Snowpark at Zell am See-Kaprun, Austria, will be held for the 10th time. Just in time for this anniversary, the IOC decided to include the slopestyle discipline into the 2014 Olympic programme. So there’s plenty of reason to celebrate for the participants, friends, and guests of the Austrian Freeski Open 2012!  
 
Back in the days, the Austrian Freeski Open was one of the first freeski slopestyle events and one of the trailblazers of this discipline that has gained Olympic honour now. From March 07 to 11, 2012, numerous world-class freeskiers will battle for the crown of the Austrian Freeski Open. The international freeskiing elite will dig deep into their bag of tricks and rip the rails, kickers and special obstacles of the Kitzsteinhorn Snowpark. Head shaper Stefan Plattner and his crew will care for a perfectly prepared park.

In the upcoming season, one of the oldest continuing freeski contest celebrates it's 10th birthday. For that reason, many athletes and spectators from the freeski scene gather from 7.-11 of March, for the third time in a row in Zell am See-Kaprun to choose their champ.
There is sure to be certain that brilliant action will go down when the best freeskiers in the world battle amongst themselves at 2500m sea level, through the Kitzsteinhorn Snowpark. Not only the athletes, also the spectators will behold the breathtaking excitement and beauty that the Freeski Circus of Zell am See-Kaprun has to offer.
